Several YMCA of Middle Tennessee locations will take part in observances of the 65th Annual National Day of Prayer this Thursday, May 5.
The Y and Operation Andrew Group and the YMCA of Middle Tennessee invite the community to a civic observance of the NDOP on Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. in front of Bridgestone Arena. The mid-day gathering provides an opportunity for cultures and denominations in Nashville and Middle Tennessee to join in one central location. Break-out groups will follow the main program.
In addition, these individual YMCA locations will have formal observances (visit our locations page for driving directions and contact information):
Bellevue: A prayer service with music, a testimony, scripture, and prayer will be held 6-7 p.m. in the community room. Food will
be provided. There will also be a prayer-themed class for school-age children.
Brentwood: A worship/prayer time will be at 8 a.m. with local pastors to lead certain areas of prayer. Opportunities for private
prayer time in a quiet location will be available throughout the day (9 a.m.-6 p.m.) for anyone who would like a place to pray, a person to pray with
or someone to pray over them.
Clarksville: A prayer breakfast will be held a the Y at 6:30 a.m.
Downtown: The Downtown YMCA chapel will be open for prayer all day. We will also be encouraging members to attend the Downtown prayer event at Bridgestone Arena.
Green Hills: A prayer event will take place at 9:30 a.m. Meet at the flag pole outside the Green Hills Family YMCA's Welcome Center.
Margaret Maddox: Three special prayer times will be held at 8 a.m., noon and 4 p.m. in the Teen and Senior Center.
Northwest: A "fireside chat" with Chaplain Joe will be held at 7:30 a.m.; another service will take place at 11 a.m. and feature a special guest speaker.
Sumner County: Members are encouraged to join the Y at the NDOP event at First Baptist Hendersonville.
Y-CAP/School Age Services: A focused prayer time will be held in the Y-CAP chapel in East Nashville at 10:30 a.m.
