How many of your friends and family members eat gluten-free? This diet has gained popularity over the past several years, which means there are more and more gluten-free recipes to choose from this holiday season.

Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. Those following a gluten-free diet exclude all products containing these ingredients. They are still able to enjoy fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, beans, and dairy products—all of which contribute to a healthy diet!

However, we all know the holidays aren’t known for healthy eating, and social gatherings this time of year can be a challenge to gluten-free folks in particular. Rolls, stuffing, casseroles, pies and other staples all contain wheat derivatives.

But there’s no need to fret. Foods that contain gluten usually have gluten-free alternatives available in many grocery stores. Take a look at these five gluten-free versions of common holiday dishes.
